The Discontinuity Test System (DTS-100) provides a method for testing the sensitivity of various passive or active fiber optic components to discontinuities (signal loss, transient output, or transmittance fluctuations) when external stimuli (such as temperature, vibration, or physical shock) are applied.
The DTS-100 allows you to capture short-duration optical interruptions and attenuation at intervals ranging from 0.8 μs to 1 second. The free and easy-to-operate software records all events into a spreadsheet for analysis in accordance with EIA/TIA-FOTP-32A.
Features & Benefits:
(1) Single-mode and multi-mode compatibility (2) Input power range: -40 dBm to -2 dBm (3) Sustained event detection: 0.8 μs to 1 second (4) Selectable loss threshold: 0.5 dB to 3 dB (5) Bundled application for direct data recording to spreadsheets (6) USB interface for seamless remote control (7) Support for common connector options (FC, ST, SC, etc.)
